Hi @Shams Sayied

thanks for your post. The tool actually detects the alias automatically when you entered the password correctly and leave the box. Can you create a dummy-keystore file the same way as you did for your key and send it to me? So that I can debug it.

Thank you very much!

Edit:

Nevermind! I found the bug. Please download the updated version here

Let me know if you still have troubles.

Best,

Andy

Sir After Checking This File I Have Confirm That Attached APK Signing Tool Also Not Able to Auto Detect KeyAlias in My PC, My PC Has Windows 10 Version 1809, Java Version 1.8.0_191, Android Studio Version 181.5056338. I Am Going to Install Vmware Workstation and Lets Check if It Is Works on Different Windows Version and Give You A Replay After That. Also Please Reply Me Which Version of Java Is Recommended for APK Signing Tool.

Hi,

that's strange. Maybe it's related to your Java Version. When I select your keystore and enter the password you provided, I get the correct alias name.

I'm using this java version

jdk1.8.0_162

Can you try the "KeyTools" tab? Please select your test key and enter the key password. Then click "List information". If this doesn't work, there is a problem with the installed Java version. I'll try to update Java to your version and check again.

Thanks!

Hi!

Thanks for the video. I'm going to check the code again. I'll keep you posted.

EDIT:

Hi again,

I made a debug version for you. When I do the same steps shown in your video, it's still working on my machine. So, please download the debug version below:

apk_signer_debug.zip

Please, try this version. I added an "Fetch alias" button next to the field. Copy the output you get from the console and paste it here. See an example below.

Thanks for your help!

Hi @djwayne1985

That's new to me, but good to know.

Maybe the build tools get initialized / installed only, when Android Studio had been started before. Thanks for that hitn!
